About Us

Roever Educational and Social Developmental Institutions, Perambalur, Tamil Nadu India run by St.John Sangam Trust, has over 35 years of service in managing educational, social and charitable institutions, with a total of 37 institutions in and around Perambalur.

The Trust established these institutions in memory of a German Missionary, Reverend Fr. Hans Roever, who initially established a boys’ home in 1948 for students in and around Perambalur region. Since 1978, under the vision and tireless hard work of Dr.K.Varadharaajen, the Chairman & Managing Trustee and a student of Fr. Roever, the initial establishment has grown to include 37 institutions of higher learning and social development.

The Roever Educational and Social Development Institutions have a proven track record of social development and gives preference to students from rural and poor families. HRKVK Hans Roever Krishi Vigyan Kendra is one such research institution run by St.John Sangam Trust.

Hans Roever Krishi Vigyan Kendra is sanctioned and funded by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR), Govt. of India, New Delhi and managed by St. John Sangam Trust, Perambalur.

It was established in April 2002, situated at Valikandapuram which is located at 9 kms away from Perambalur on the Trichy – Chennai National Highways (NH- 45).

It caters the needs of the farming community of Perambalur district. The KVK is disseminating the latest technologies in agriculture, horticulture, veterinary, rural industries, women and child welfare, cooperation and allied fields aiming to uplift the socio - economic conditions of the rural peasants

It has the following mandates as per the ICAR guidelines.

St. John Sangam Trust

St. John Sangam Trust, Perambalur has over 50 years service of managing educational, social and charitable institutions, numbering more than 30 institutions in and around Perambalur. The Trust has established all these institutions in memory of a German Missionary, Reverend Father Hans Roever, who initially established a boys home in 1950s for students from around the region.

Since 1978, under the vision and tireless hard-work of Dr. K. VARADHARAAJEN, the Chairman & Managing Trustee, the initial establishment has grown to include over 30 institutions of higher learning and social development. The Roever educational institutions have a proven track record of social development and gives preference to students from rural and poor families.

Currently, under the auspices of the Trust, the Chairman & Managing Trustee Dr.K.Varadharaajen established and manages a wide range of educational, social and charitable institutions. A number of higher educational institutions, such as Engineering Colleges, Arts and Sciences College, Agricultural College, Polytechnic College, B. Ed College, College of Physiotherapy, College of Nursing, College of Pharmacy, have been established throughout Perambalur district to give people of this region an opportunity to avail the best quality education at affordable and reasonable costs.

The Trust also established a number of high schools throughout Perambalur region to enable aspiring students from agricultural and economically backward families to benefit from affordable education. The number of schools, higher secondary schools, high schools, elementary schools and Hans Roever Public School (CBSE), have been established in various parts of Perambalur district and they have secured various state rankings and have established itself as a pioneer in providing quality education and producing top-class students. One such institute that leads the field is the Roever School of Excellence, which strives to educate high-caliber students to achieve academic excellence in all fields.

One of the most important and less-publicized aspects of the Trust activities is the establishment of social welfare institutions which carries on its work on a charitable basis.
